			<description> The Legislative Research Special Interest Section of the Law Librarians Society of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce the availability of its latest publication, the 7th edition of the UNION LIST OF LEGISLATIVE HISTORIES (previously published by Fred B. Rothman &amp; Co.). This 700 page loose-leaf publication lists the legislative history collections of more than 120 libraries in the Washington, D.C. area and includes several thousand legislative history compilations to U.S. public laws from 1790 to 1998. Most of the histories were painstakingly compiled in-house, and each compilation normally contains a copy of the public law as enacted along with the various bill versions, reports, and Congressional debates associated with the laws development. Often, hearings, committee prints, and other documents are also included.
