Laid Off Librarians Focus Group

Legal Librarians have been hit hard by the recent downsizing of law firms across the country.  Washington DC in particular was hit hard and many of our members are looking at a long process of finding new positions.

 

This group will assist in this by providing a sense of community and an opportunity to learn about the issues and situations they face.

 

Everyone is welcome to attend and it is likely we will change the name of the group from LOL - Laid Off Librarians to the LLSDC Career Development and Enhancement Focus Group.  The topics and discussions we have are relevant to anyone who wants to review their options and consider the future.

 

We meet every other Thursday night at the Georgetown University Edward Bennett Williams Law Library in room 320 at 6pm.  Upcoming meeting dates are:
